Ujjain : A youth was stabbed to death during a dispute took place at a marriage procession in village Chak Kamed of Ghattia tehsil on Tuesday night. Agitated people of the village gheraoed the Chimanganj police station and demanded quick arrest of the accused.
A quarrel occurred at village Chak Kamed on Tuesday night when a marriage procession was taken out. Marriage procession of bridegroom Prakash, son of Mohanlal Malviya, a resident of village Ralayati near Ghonsla reached at the village Chak Kamed at the house of Sevaram. Prakash had to be married with Bhagwanta, daughter of Sevaram. The youths were in extremely inebriated position and dancing on the beats of DJ in the village at the marriage procession. Meanwhile an inebriated youth fell on Dharmendra son of Bherulal Panwar, who was sleeping on a bed. Dharmendra took objection over the misbehaviour practiced by youths of marriage procession. The dispute got heated and the youths stabbed Dharmendra and his brother Mukesh and fled away from the scene.
Injured Dharmendra was rushed to district hospital where he was declared brought dead. After the villagers knew the entire matter, commotion prevailed at the wedding ceremony. Bridegroom also fled away from the wedding ceremony after the situation got worst.Family members of the bride refused to organise the marriage and warned the father of bridegroom to tell the names of accused youths. Chimanganj Mandi police reached at the village and started investigation in the case. They arrested four people including bridegroom’s father Mohanlal. Police also arrested the owner of the DJ and band brought the DJ vehicle in the police station. Villagers gheraoed Chimanganj police station on Wednesday demanding quick arrest of the accused.
