Ujjain : The death of young journalist Chandan Gupta was mourned by a large people as it was a big blow to the journalistic community, particularly of the holy city. Gupta passed away after a brief illness early this week. He had suffered a brain stroke on Monday during his work. He was rushed to a private hospital here. Later he was shifted to the CHL Hospital, Indore, where he was operated for removing the blood clot from his brain. For past two days he was on ventilator.
The doctors confirmed his death on Thursday evening. The body was brought to city in the evening. The funeral procession will be taken out today from his residence located at Annapurna Nagar at 10 am on Friday. He was 31 and unmarried. He had worked as a crime reporter in local dailies during the past decade. He was also the elected executive member of the Press Club. Commissioner, Public Relations, Anupam Rajan, has expressed deep sorrow on the untimely demises of the young journo.
