Ujjain : The district administration will organise Yoga event at two places in the city. Collector Kavindra Kiyawat issued directives regarding the same in a meeting that was held here recently. The two places where the official Yoga event will be held include Kshir Sagar and Dussehra Maidan. According to the data provided around 13 thousands residents are approximated to participate in the event at both places. LCD TV, radio, loudspeaker, and mats will be provided the administration.
The state government has issued directives to all commissioners, collectors and CEOs of Zila Panchayats regarding programmes to be held on International Day of Yoga June 21. Directives have been given to finalise preparations the programmes at the earliest at state, district, development block and Panchayat headquarters.
District administration will supervise, coordinate and ensure implementation of all programmes to be held in district. Collector will entrust responsibility regarding programmes to be held at development block and Panchayat level to concerning SDO Revenue and Sarpanch. Yoga training is considered highly important so that participants can practice Yoga properly on Yoga Day.
Apart from availability of trained government Yoga instructors, directives have also been given to make available adequate number of trainers in coordination with Yoga institutions in districts. Services of trainers of Yoga institutions will be availed on the condition of being free of cost and in accordance with protocol of the Central Government. Preparations to impart free training have also been made by Maharishi Patnanjali Yoga Sansthan, Maharishi Vidya Mandir Yoga Peeth, Prajapita Brahmakumari Yoga Peeth, Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan and Art of Living. Services of these institutions are being availed to impart training to Yoga instructors. Directives have been given to hold Yoga programme in the open not using covered tent and spreading durries on ground. Directives have been given for holding programmes with dignity and coordination.
The government has directed to ensure participation of Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Mayor of Municipal Corporations, members of Zila and Janpad Panchayats, Corporators, Sarpanchs, panchs, public representatives, government servants, police personnel, students of schools, colleges and universities, cadets of NCC and NSS and common people in the programme.
