WON’T HESITATE TO CROSS PARTY LINE: MALVIYA

Ujjain : “Serving people is my highest duty and I can cross the party line and may also oppose the government’s decision or the working style of officials,” BJP Member of Parliament Chintamani Malviya commented during his maiden press conference, at a private hotel, here on Thursday.

Malviya drew controversies recently when he openly protested the construction of Simhastha Fair Authority office on the land of Vikram Vatika. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had performed the land veneration for the construction work last year. “Construction work was launched without competant permissions and that too on green belt…the office building should be constructed on Kothi Palace or land possessed by the agriculture department or in the Simhastha Fair area…the officials involved in this irregularity should be sent to jail,” he said. On being asked why he had made derogatory comments against the SP Anurag Kumar in public, the BJP MP strongly defended his side. “SP is responsible for the communal tension prevailed in Ujjain recently…I did not make any inflamatory remarks against SP in public…I have sought his transfer and also wrote a letter to the CM not to give him a field posting,” Prof Malviya said.

During the conference, which was also attended by the BJP presidents Iqbal Singh Gandhi (urban) and Shyam Bansal (rural), the first time MP Chintamani Malviya circulated a three-page write-up describing about his achievements of the first three months of his five year tenure. He also circulated a two-page write-up with regard to his future planning. According to Dr Malviya, a lot has to be done for the industrial, infratructural, educational and tourism development. He said that railway network and services would have to be increased and stregthened keeping in mind the Simhastha Fair-2016. He said that efforts have been made for the purification of Khan river and a formal request was already made to the Center to release ample of funds for the ensuing mega event. He said that he will try his level best to open a government medical college. According to him, he will also sit in the BJP office on first Monday of every month.
