She is settling scores with us as we filed FIR against her: Ajay Bhargava
Ujjain: A woman, who has been charged with embezzlement to the tune of Rs 1.25 lakh, accused city’ prominent businessman Ajay Bhargava, his son and brother- inlaw of exploiting her sexually for several years. Lajwanti Upadhyay, 31, who originally hails from Bhopal, on Tuesday told a press conference at Press Club that she joined Bhargava’s ice- cream factory some eight years ago. Lajwanti, who claims herself as unmarried and having passed BA, said proprietor Ajay Bhargava took benefit of her poor status and offered to promote if shy agreed for physical relationship.
She charged that Bhargava also gifted her house ( number 7/ 25) at Jawahar Nagar and, moreover, made her instrumental in paying less salary to the employees assuring that the money thus saved will be provided to her as commission. Lajwanti Upadhyay also accused Bhargava’s son Ankit and brotherin- law Vinay Bhargava for trying to molest her. She said that since Ankit got clue about her illicit relationship with his father, the Bhargava family first tried to discontinue her from services; then tried to take possession of the house in question and also declined to pay her commission of Rs 8 lakh. On being contacted, Ajay Bhargava told Free Press since they lodged an FIR against Lajwanti Upadhyay in Narwar police station for embezzling Rs 1.25 lakh, she had now been making ugly and false allegations against their family. Disheartened Bhargava, who was away at Gwalior on Tuesday, feared that the lady in question was patronised by some of his rival businessmen.
“ Everybody knows about me and my family, but it is sure that the businessmen from now onwards would have to think about recruiting any woman employee,” he added.
