VU ex- Senate member demands EC to cancel nomination of BJP candidate

Ujjain: Vikram University ( VU) former Senate member Rajendra Kumar Baghela addressing a press conference at Press Club on Thursday revealed striking facts about BJP candidate from Ujjain- Alote parliamentary constituency Dr Chintamani Malviya. Baghela has demanded Election Commission to cancel the nomination of Dr Malviya as he had violated the regulations of direct recruitment to public services and posts. Dr Malviya has allegations of harassing a lady professor.

Addressing a press conference Baghela said that Dr Chintamani Malviya is the father of four children Aditya ( July 1999), Dushyant ( August 2001), Dipika ( June 2003) and Vedant ( January 2008). He kept this information confidential and got recruited as professor in Vikram University in 2007 violating the rule 6 and sub- rule 5 of MP Civil Services Act 1961. Dr Malviya being a member of VU executive council constituted School of Studies in Philosophy and got recruited at the post of coordinator taking allowance of Rs 5000 per month. He committed a financial offence.

Further revealing the facts about Dr Malviya Baghela said that Dr Malviya was alleged for sexual harassment of a lady professor. The case was investigated by Governor, but the investigation was not completed due to political pressure. A complaint was filed against Dr Malviya in Raj Bhavan, but no action was taken against him due to political pressure. Baghela in a letter to Election Commission demanded termination of Dr Malviya’s nomination with immediate effect.
