BJP organisation to take feedback

BHOPAL : The Vikas Yatras starting from February 1 by the ministers and MLAs of Bharatiya Janata Party in their respective constituencies will decide their fate and distribution of ticket in the Assembly elections of 2013. BJP organisation is going to take feedback of these Yatra at its own level so as to assess the popularity of MLAs amongst the masses and will also help the party in deciding its future strategy.

Sources say video recording of these Yatras will be done so that actual position of MLAs in their constituencies could be known.

BJP is organising Vikas Yatras to know about discontentment developing in party workers and common man and also remove shortcomings in two years.

The state government as well as party organisation are busy in preparing for these Yatras which are being organised just before the Assembly session, so that Congress could not attack the government on any issue.

Sources say several ministers and MLAs wanted to postpone Vikas Yatras for the second time so that real situation of their areas could not come to the fore but BJP state president Prabhat Jha insisted to take out the Yatras. Sources also say the MLAs, proving as failures in the Vikas Yatras will face difficulty in getting ticket for the coming Assembly elections.

On the other hand, MLAs are making all out efforts for these Yatras. BJP state organisation is also giving material related to states development to the MLAs, which will be distributed in constituencies during the Yatras.

May face public resentment

MLAs may have to face public dissatisfaction during the Yatras. Sources say Congress may oppose BJP MLAs in many areas and problems of electricity, roads and fertiliser may prove dear to MLAs in the Yatra.
