FP NEWS SERVICE UJJAIN Union Bank of India Nai Sadak branch was told by District ConsumersDispute Redressal Forum to pay Rs 3000 to a customer as mental and financial compensation for default in service. The bank was also directed to pay Rs 100
0 as case expenditure.
According to the joint decision of Omprakash Sharma, chairman of the District ConsumersDispute Redressal Forum and members Vidya Vyas and Madhubala Jain, victim Manoj Tankle son of Santosh Kumar resident of Gonsa Darwaja filed a case at District ConsumersForum under section Consumers Protection Act. Manoj has a saving bank account in Union Bank at Nai Sadak branch in which Rs 91402 was deposited on August 18, 2010.
Manoj withdrew Rs 3000 from the account on August 23, 2010, but bank showed Rs 34402 rest deposited in his account as he did not withdrew Rs 50000 from the account.
Bank did not inform about the withdrawal of amount after being noticed them.
Narendra Ghawri took a personal loan of Rs 50000 on the basis of salary slip of Manoj Tankle. He was not informed about the issue by bank and bank withdrew Rs 50000 from his account.
