Ujjain: District BJP unit will take out a chimni yatra on Wednesday to protest against frequent power across the city. The yatra will be taken out under the leadership of district BJP head Vivek Joshi and Shyam Bansal from Gopal Mandir at 7pm.
According to Joshi the state government has turned deaf ears over the complaints of frequent power cuts across the district. Rather than taking the problem seriously the government is blaming the officials of the electricity department for power cuts, Joshi said.
The core issues which trouble the people will be taken up by the party; during the yatra MP Anil Phirojiya, MLA Paras Jain, Mohan Yadav, mayor Meena Jonwal and other party leaders will be present, Joshi added.
