Ujjain: Maharaja Vikramiditya Shodhpeeth will hold its annual function Vikramotsav on the occasion of Hindu New Year and Vikram Samvat 2074 from March 21 to 28.
MLA and president of organising committee Mohan Yadav informed about the various preparations being carried out for the event. He said different sub committees had been formed that would look after the preparations of different cultural events.
In the memory of nine gems of King Vikram the Vikram Alankaran awards will be given in the categories of vocal and instrumental music, Hindi poetry, dance, bravery, justice, ayurveda, classical music and archaeology. Applications are invited from artists in their respective fields from February 9 to 15 till 5 pm at the office address of the organisation.
