Ujjain: Dereliction of duty during ‘bhasmarti’ darshan at the Mahakaleshwar Temple proved costlier for two persons. They were found indulged in playing game on mbile instead of rendering duty. Collector and ex-officio chairman of Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee Shashank Mishra made a surprise visit to temple at 1.50 am on Sunday.

He caught a private security guard and a home guard for negligence of duty. Collector found both of them playing game on mobile phone and darshanarthis were freely moving here and there from the bhasmaarti gate. Irked over such a situation, collector immediately asked the home guard jawan to deposit his kit. He also instructed to immediately remove the security guard from service. On checking bhasmarti permission passes, collector also rebuked the bhasmarti incharge.
