Ujjain: National karate coach Vikram awardee Jaidev Sharma visited Ujjain to examine the preparations for the karate state championships to be held here.

Addressing, he asserted that students should only choose centres affiliated with government bodies like Karate Association of India. Students who took training at unauthorised centres would be unqualified to participate in national and international tournaments and scholarships, he said.

Sharma said Karate Development Association was the only centre for karate coaching in Ujjain which was affiliated by many national and international bodies. International player Dinendra Dubey, Vikram awardee Supriya Jatav, MP Karate Association’s vice president Praveen Dhoble and Ramlakhan Pandey also endorsed Jaidev’s views.

Chief coach of Karate Development Assocaition Sansai Ramlakhan is providing training to students along with other coaches, Hemant Raghuvanshi, Yogita Kuril, Ankita Joshi, Pallavi Joshi, Pooja Dhakad etc.
