Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal arrived at the hotel Shanti Clarks on Monday and took the stock of demolition of the building and gave necessary instructions to the officials concerned. She also shared views on demolition with explosive expert Sharad Sarvate.
Expert Sarvate told that over 70 percent preparation has been made to implant explosive to demolish the building. Pal instructed the officials to raze the building till Tuesday at any cost.
UMC’s team started the demolition work from Saturday and a big portion has been demolished. The officials claimed to demolish the building in one shot.
During the inspection additional commissioner Dhirendra Singh Parihar, Manoj Pathak, deputy commissioner Sanjesh Gupta, Sunil Shah, Yogendra Patel, Bhavishya Khobragade and other concerned officials were present.
Demolition of shaky building continues
Apart from illegal construction UMC teams are also razing shaky buildings across the city to ward off any untoward incident during rainy season. On Monday, a portion of dilapidated building coming in the sawari route of Mahakaleshwar was razed.
The UMC officials informed that construction work in Kapila Goushala (cowshed) is also in progress in view of rainy season, under which pathway of the cowshed is being repaired.
