Ujjain: A fire broke out at a cattle feed manufacturing factory, Krishna industries on Maksi Road, on Friday destroying dregs of cotton seed worth Rs 15 lakh.
The owner Akash Agrawal, resident of Arihant Parisar, said the fire engulfed machines too. Machine panel, wiring, switch boards and empty sacks were totally gutted, he added.
Fire officer Ajay Rajput told Free Press that two fire tenders, one water lorry and two fire brigade vehicles controlled the fire within four hours. He complained that no safety measures have been installed by most of the factory owners in the industrial area.
