Ujjain: District Congress committee (rural) acting president Hemantsingh Chouhan accused mining officials and contractors of connivance in illegal mining. Chouhan said taking the cognisance of the issue, collector Shashak Mishra dispatched an investigation team to Nimbodiya located mining site.
According to Chouhan mining officer Mahendra Patel and Jaideep Namdev are involved in illegal mining in the district; and the same officers were the part of the investigative team which cast doubt over impartiality of investigation in the matter.
Chouhan said “If the investigation is not carried out impartially and transparently I will move to high court with evidences of corruption”.
