Ujjain: The police submitted the charge sheet against rape and murder accused on Thursday before AJAKS court of Judge Vijay Kumar Pandey.
According to deputy director prosecution Saket Vyas, accused Shiva Rao (19) picked up a 5 year old girl from Bhukhimata area located residence of labourers who were working at a brick kiln under Mahakal police station limits.
The police investigated the case and arrested Shiva Rao on basis of the evidences. During interrogation the accused broke down and admitted the crime of raping and murdering the 5 year old girl and throwing her body away in river Kshipra to hide his crime.
The police registered an FIR against the accused under Section 449,376 AB, 302,201 of the IPC and Section 5/6 of POCSO Act and Section 3 (2)(5) of SC ST Act.
