Ujjain: A rashly driven bus hit a pickup van on Unhel Road near Ramgarh diversion under Bhairavagarh police station limits, on Thursday morning. The pickup van overloaded with passengers was heading to Jaora for a religious function.
According to Bhairavgarh police Savitribai, Lokesh, Deepak, Arti, Bhagwanta, Asha, Mangilal, Akash, Shyambai, Kamalbai, Sunita, Vijay Panwar, Gangabai, Hema, Hans and Raja all the residents of village Barlai near Sanver were on their way to Jaora for religious purpose meanwhile a speeding bus of Bajarang Travels, bearing registration number MP-14-PA-1289 hit the van.
Following the accident all the passengers including the driver Lokesh of the van got injured. The condition of the driver and a passenger Savitribai is critical.
They have been rushed to Indore for treatment. An FIR has been registered against the bus driver on the basis of the statements of injured passengers of the van.
