Ujjain: BJP corporator attacks man & his kin over petty issue, arrested

Ujjain: One more BJP public representative took the law into own hand and attacked a man and his family members over some petty issue. The corporator was sent to the jail.

Chimanganj Mandi police said that Kundan, resident of Dhachabhawan area, had a dispute with Bhanu Thakur resident of same area on Wednesday. Kundan is the son of BJP corporator and mayor in council member Mangilal Kadel.

As soon as the BJP corporator Kadel heard about the incident he lost his cool and barged into the residence of Bhanu Thakur with his supporters and launched an attack on him and his family members with swords, knives and wooden logs.

During the incident 3 persons got grave injuries. The police registered an FIR against corporator Kadel, his son and their aides after taking statements of injured.

A counter FIR was also filed against Bhanu Thakur and his supporters on the basis of the statement of the corporator Kadel, his son and their aides. According to sources the corporator who was admitted to the hospital was soon discharged by the doctors early morning .

An FIR against Mangilal alias Mangu Pehlwan , Kundan, Monu Karela and Sonu Karela under sections 452,324,294,506 and 34 of IPC has been registered while a counter FIR has been registered against Bhanu Thakur, Dinesh Khatri and Chinu Khatri under sections 324, 294, 427, 34 of IPC and 3(2) of AJAK Act.

According to Chimanganj Mandi police station TI Manish Mishra, corporator Kadel was produced in the court and thereafter sent to the jail. Mishra added that Kadel received minor bruises, whereas the Bhanu Thakur, Dinesh Khatri and Chinu Khatri received serious injuries. They have been hospitalised and are under doctor’s observation.
