Ujjain: All party meet on polls held

Ujjain: After completion of nominations of the candidates for general election of Ujjain-Alot constituency, collector Shashank Mishra convened a meeting with office bearers of different political parties of the constituency. On this occasion other officials concerned were also present.  Additional collector Rishav Gupta informed the leaders about the voters of the region at length and also informed about the preparation of casting and collecting postal ballots. He also informed about the felicitation centers and distribution of EVM and VVPAT machines.

Deputy district election officer Shaili Kanash also explained model code of conduct to the office bearers of the parties. The administration will hold a meeting to monitor electoral expenses to be incurred by the political parties on Friday, the officials said.   The official further informed, after revocation of nomination forms only nine candidates Anil Firojia of BJP, Babulal Malviya of Congress, Satish Parmar of BSP, Mahesh Marmat of Shivsena, Ramchandra Parmar of Bahujan Mukti Party are there in the fray with four independent candidates.
