Ujjain: Special Judge Rajendra Dewda awarded double life imprisonment to the accused of loot and double murders Jagdish (50) of Dewas, Lakshaman (19) of Indore, Sumit (23) of Dewas and Shailendra (21) of Ujjain with cash penalty of Rs 20,000.
The FIR was registered against all the accused under Section 302, 120-B and 394 of the IPC. The court also awarded sentence to Manoj Chouhan of Chintaman Jawasiya, Vishnu Bhandari of village Alari-Tokkhurd, Bhura alias Indersingh of village Chintaman Jawasiya for two years rigorous imprisonment and cash penalty of Rs 6,000.
According to deputy director (prosecution) Dr Saket Vyas the accused were held convicted by the court in the murder case of two persons who were driver and cleaner of the diesel tanker. Vyas said that Mahakal police found two bodies in tanker’s cabin bearing number MP 09 HF 0476 on February 21, 2016 at Mangrola bypass.
The bodies were identified as Banesing Chouhan and Kuldeep Singh who were residents of Agar. According to police both were strangulated in the cabin of the tanker and cash amount of over Rs 8,000 was looted by the murderers.
The murderers also emptied the tanker and stole the diesel. After investigation the police arrested Jagdish, Sumit, Shailendra, Lakshman, Vishnu, Bhura alias Indersingh on the basis of the evidence.
The case was pleaded on behalf of the government by Dr Vyas, additional district public prosecution officer Suraj Bachheriya and DPO Rajkumar Nema.
