Ujjain: 7 days salary of clerks deducted for laxity in PMAY cases

Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal visited various zone offices of the civic body on Friday. She took stock of arrangements, pending works and instructed the officials to resolve the problems of denizens. Pal directed them to promptly clear name transfers and organise recovery of the property tax and show decency and politeness in dealing with people. She directed the officials to improve cleanliness and potable water supply in the city. During her inspection the commissioner instructed to deduct 7 days salary of two clerks for their laxity in settling Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana cases.

Corporators cancel Prayagraj visit

The Prayagraj visit of corporators of the civic body has been cancelled as a mark of protest over the heinous act of terrorists in Pulwama in which innocent jawans have been killed. Mayor Meena Jonwal, president Sonu Gehlot and corporators expressed their heartfelt condolences to the martyrs.
