Ujjain: The accused of gang rape were held convicted by the ADJ Vikramsingh Bule on the Friday.
The ADJ announced 20 year rigorous imprisonment to accused Raju Puncture (47), Banshilal (38) and Rajendra Muniya (39) residents of Nagda. The court also imposed a penalty of Rs 12000. The FIR was registered against the accused after recording the statement of victim woman by the police.
Deputy Director (prosecution) Dr Saket Vyas told that on February 01, 2016 the victim was going to attend nature’s call out of the home; meanwhile accused Rajendrar, Banshi and Raju caught her forcibly and took her to a secluded place and gang raped her.
After raping her, accused threatened her for dire consequences if she reveals the incident. The victim narrated the incident to her family and later lodged the police report. The police registered an FIR against the rapists under Section 376(d), arrested and produced them in the court. The case was pleaded on behalf of the government by AGP Parmanand Varvaniya.
