Ujjain: SP Anurag Kumar suspended two police station incharges for practicing negligence in duty in wake of communal tension erupted in the city, on Saturday. Two inspectors and a SI were also transferred by SP with immediate effect.
According to information received from SP, Kharakuan police station incharge Munni Parihar was suspended with immediate effect. A dispute occurred during the incident took place on October 6, 2014.
Some people reached at Kharakuan police station, but they were sent to Kotwali police station without filing the FIR. The matter was communal and it had to be handled seriously.
Likewise, police station in- charge Jiwajiganj Shyamchandra Sharma was also suspended for not deploying policemen during procession of immersion of Goddess Durga despite of directives by senior administration. Consequently, Section 144 has been clamped in the city.
SP has also issued transfer orders of three police officials.
Inspector Manoj Dubey who is posted as Tarana TI has been transferred to Jiwajiganj police station. Kulwant Joshi has been transferred to Tarana as TI. SI Aradhana Raikwar has been transferred as Kharakuan police station incharge.
