Ujjain : Divisional Commissioner Ravindra Pastor along with senior administrative officials of the district made inspection of Peshwai route, here on Monday. They also met mahants of Nirmohi and Nirwani Akhadas and discussed over several issues.
Dr Pastor along with district officials made inspection of the Peshwai route to ensure the appropriate arrangements. All saints and mehants of different Akhadas take out the entry procession through the Peshwai route before the beginning of the grand fair of the faith, Simhastha. Directives were issued to the concerned departments to manage all necessary arrangements at the route as quickly as possible. The officials reached Nirmohi Akhada after the visit of Peshwai route and had a talk over the installation of the flag and Peshwai route.
Mahant Rajendra Das and Ayodhya Das told that Mandleshwar and Jagadguru will decide over the Peshwai route. They also told that the flag would be installed just before 10-15 days prior to Simhastha Fair. All saints and sages will then start arriving. Nobody will be allowed to take out the procession from Akhadas to the Ghats after the installation of the flag. Dr Pastor told saints that the dates of royal baths will be decided with the consent of all saints and mehants. He also told that they would be allotted the same land that they had been allotted in the previous Simhastha fair. Liaisoning officers have been appointed to manage things of saints.
IG V Madhumar, DIG Rakesh Gupta, Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, SP MS Verma and fair officer Avinash Lavania were present during the visit.
