Ujjain: Shri Kshetra Panda Samiti, headed by president Pt Rajesh Trivedi, protested and handed over a memorandum addressed to the chief minister to additional collector on Wednesday, demanding not to allocate liquor shop near river Kshipra and temple area. The samiti also demanded in the memorandum to remove the shops of non-vegetarian eatables from the religious area of the city like Mahakal, Gopal Mandir and other such areas. Trivedi further said Kshipra was as holy a river as Narmada so the same status must be granted to it. On this occasion Shailendra Sharma, Shailendra Vyas, Rupam Vyas, Rajesh Vyas and many teerth purohits were present.
