Ramdev vows to launch satyagraha despite govt assuring him that it would consider nationalising issue of black money

efused to go by the governmentalt39s script as he vowed to go ahead with his fast and satyagraha at the Ramlila Grounds here from Saturday on the issues of corruption and black money, saying he was not satisfied with only partial acceptance of his demands by the government.

The Baba said the government has also agreed in principle that the black money siphoned off to foreign banks be declared national assets and brought back. He was, however, not happy at the government not accepting his demand to promulgate an ordinance to give legal cover to the assurance.

He refused to sign an agreement pressed by union ministers Kapil Sibal and Subodh Sahay in over five hours of negotiation in a private hotel here to withdraw the satyagraha and ended the meeting saying he would place the governmentalt39s document before the people for their vote.

Neither side was, however, prepared to commit on any deal struck even while the Prime Minister held consultations with senior ministers to prepare for a long haul and asked them to gear up to show what all the government was doing to negate the impact of Babaalt39s mega show.
