At least four people sustained severe injuries as supporters of two parties came face to face over a judicial matter on court premises, at Kothi Palace here on Monday afternoon.

According to Madhav Nagar police, Rakesh, son of Hariom, Hariom, Mohan and Dilip ( all residents of Jaisingpura) were prosecution witnesses in the case of Mohan Mali, a resident of Jaisingpura. The judicial court had issued arrest warrants against them as they did not appear in previous court hearings due to life threatening. Police brought them to the court ignoring thorough security check- up.

All the witnesses reached the court premises without any security scanning at 1: 30 pm. Police had earlier recovered a knife from Mohan.

Both the parties were reached at the court with eight persons on each side.

As they came face to face in a passage on court premises, they attacked each and used knife during the scuffle. The bloody attack took place in front of 10th ADJ Court of Dipesh Tiwari. The scuffle continued for about 20 minutes and everybody present at the scene ran for life.

Police reached at the spot after 20 minutes and tried to arrest the miscreants.

Akash ( 27), son of Kishore, was sustained severe injuries due to the stabbing and was rushed to hospital.

Four other people also received severe injuries during the fight. Both the parties lodged FIRs against each other under Section 323, 293 and 506 of the IPC.
