Ujjain : Education is a powerful instrument in building up of a healthy and prosperous society. The main focus of education should be the needs, interests, aptitudes and abilities of the people of the locality and St Mary’s Convent School is dedicated for such goals.
The golden jubilee celebrations of the school which began on July 8, 2013 have ended with a grand ceremony on Wednesday. The school started in 1964. Various colourful programmes were organised to mark the day. The curtain finally came down on the year-long celebrations with the lowering of the jubilee flag and handing it over to Sister Roshan, principal of the school, here on Wednesday. Ujjain diocese Bishop Dr Sebastian Vadakkel also graced the occasion. St Mary’s anthem and National anthem were sung by the students.
