Ujjain : Devotees from rural areas will arrive in the city of temples to take holy bath in Kshipra to mark Somvati Amavasya on Monday. Administration has made extensive arrangements and appointed 10 administrative officials to maintain law and order at various Kshipra Ghats.
Administrative officials and police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order at the banks of Kshipra. Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee has decided to ban the entry of devotees in the Garbhgriha of Mahakaleshwar Temple. Chimanganj Mandi located Krishi Upaj Mandi will also remain close on Monday.
Thousands of devotees thronged the bank of Kshipra River to perform pujan and dugdabhishek of lord Siddhnath, here on Monday. Devotees thronged at Sidhhawat Ghat on the occasion of Chaudas, the devotees performed dugdhabhishek and pujan for Pitras. Notably, there is a great significance of performing Shraddh Karma on the day of Chaudas. People also gathered at Ramghat, Mangalnath and other ghats for a holy dip.
