Ujjain:Rajya Sabha member Kaptan Singh Solanki, minister for food and civil supply Paras Jain and MLA Shivnarayan Jagirdar laid the foundation for 25 LIG and 60 EWS houses under Ujjain Development Authority ( UDA)’ s Triveni Vihar ojana here on Saturday.
Solanki and Jain were present as guests of honour while Jagirdar was special guest of the programme. According to UDA CEO Shivendra Singh, the guests first performed bhoomi pujan and then laid the foundation for the scheme. UDA chairman Kishore Khandelwal welcomed the guests and Simhastha Fair Authority chairman Diwakar Natu, MP Matikala Board chairman Ashok Prajapat and BJP city chief Anil Jain Kaluheda. He said the UDA took the decision to provide houses to people on economical rates on September 13, 2011 when he took the charge. He also announced plantation of 1600 saplings and termed it as Sudarshan Upvan.
Addressing the occasion, Solanki said owing a house is individual’s first priority and UDA has done it for economically poor people. Jain also praised UDA’s work while Jagirdar submitted a memorandum of Aanjana community to Khandelwal for naming another park in name of Rajaram. UDA vicechairmen Anil Firojiya and Madanlal Lalawat, board of directors Vasu Keswani, Sadhana Sethi and Rekha Ora, former MLA Shiva Kotwani, Iqbal Singh Gandhi and others were also became the part of ceremony. Mukesh Joshi conducted the programme and Bhuralal adav proposed the vote of thanks.
