Ujjain : Many social organizations in the city celebrated the birth of lord Krishna on the occasion of Janmashtami while hosting religious programmes.
Seva Bharti, Ujjain celebrated the festival of Krishna Janmashtami with tiny tots of the organization with huge zeal and enthusiasm on Tuesday. Matrichhaya manager Anurag Jain informed that the programme was organised to make kids aware about the Indian culture and playful activities of Lord Krishna. MP State Electricity Board sub-engineer Gajraj Mehta was chief guest while pediatric Dr Abhay Pustake chaired the programme. Dr Ram Tirtha Sharma was key speaker on this occasion. Ritesh Soni conducted the programme while Seema Vasishtha proposed the vote of thanks.
Likewise, Sevadham Ashram also celebrated the occasion of Janmashtami as the idol of Lord Krishna was presided in a beautiful tableau decked with flowers and colourful lights. More than 400 inmates of Ashram performed singing and dancing to mark the occasion. Director Sudhir Bhai Goyal performed aarti of the deity. Visually challenged inmate Bholi Agrawal, Suman Singhal and others presented bhajan.
Ujjainites enthralled on the devotional beats of Jwalant-Amit Sharma Musical Group during an event held at Shahid Park on Monday night. A Matki-Fod contest was also organised. Star One Antakshari fame Amit Sharma and G TV Antakashari winner singer Jwalant Sharma sang devotional numbers and mesmerized the audience. Dr Anamika Sharma conducted the programme.
