Ujjain : Police has left free brother of SIMI activist Sharafat, Mehmood after taking his statement on Tuesday. Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) had arrested accused of Malegaon bomb blast and the operative of banned organisation SIMI on January 1 from his residence at Unhel. Since the arrest of Sharafat, police had been searching for his brother Mehmood.
Mehmood appeared in police station on Tuesday evening and informed that he had no relation with his brother since 2006. He said that he had no clue when Sharafat came to his home on the day of arrest as he had left for his shop on 9 am in morning. Mehmood was left free by the police after recording his statement.
