Ujjain: Shourya Dal constituted by Woman and Child Development department extended its help for flood affected people. Shourya Dal played a vital role in rescuing flood affected people in ward-38. They helped in discharge of logged water and waste management. They also provided them food packets in hour of need. District Woman empowerment officer Sabir Ahmed Siddiqui told that flood affected people had praised Sourya Dal for incredible work. 893 Shourya Dal has been constituted in the district. Each ward in civic body has a Shourya Dal. They also work on prevention of child marriage, gender imbalance, and female feticide; help to orphan children, education, food, accommodation for kids, preventing kids from begging, etc.
