ut it is yet to hit upon any major clue. With no major disclosure in the case, the people have started apprehending that the case, like Arushi murder, may go into oblivion.

Already, Shehlas father Sultan Masood had left any hope of getting justice. He had even lost hope on CBI investigation. Name of BJP national secretary Tarun Vijay had come up in the case, as he was in regular contact with her. So far, the CBI is yet to record his statement.

Earlier, the local police were investigating the case and after recording the statement of local MLA Dhuruvnarayan Singh, they had made up mind to go to Delhi to record Tarun Vijays statement. But before this, the case was transferred to the CBI which is yet to record Tarun Vijays statement. The CBI announcement of cash prize Rs 5 lakh to anyone who gives vital information about the accused is an indirect indication that it is yet to get any major clue to the case. Similarly, the point tha. t Shehla had filed some complaints against state government regarding misuse of public money is yet to be checked. If it had been checked, then also, the media does not know anything in this regard, as CBI officials are tightlipped about anything. Shehla was shot dead in a car near her residence on August 16.
