Shankaracharayas allotted land for Simhastha fair

Ujjain : Simhastha Fair Authority (SFA) coming over long controversy finally allotted land to the Shankaracharyas for the upcoming Simhastha fair here.

Maintaining the promise of allotment the SFA provided both the Shankaracharyas at the either sides of the Rudra Sagar. Shankaracharya of Jyotish Pith (Badrinath) and Dwarka Pith Swami Swarupanand Saraswati and Shankaracharya of Puri Govardhan Pith Swami Nischalananda Saraswati participate in the Simhastha fair and erect their camps at the Rudra Sagar. Shankaracharya of Shringeri Sharada Pith, Swami Bharti Tirth usually does not participate in the Simhastha fair.

The SFA was under constant pressure for the land allotment as Puri Pith Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati is visiting the city on December 16 and Shankaracharya Swaroopananda is participating was in Indore on Friday. It would have been clear trouble for the SFA if Puri Shankaracharya had not found his land for Simhastha, as he had already written a letter to the State government, PMO and President office over the issue.

Sources informed that the officials land allotment letter was handed over to Swami Swaroopnanda Saraswati at Indore by his disciples on Friday. Puri pith pontiff will be handed over the letter on his arrival a fair officer informed. The fair authorities have paced up the work at Rudra Sagar site to make it level and free of sewage and mud, so that further arrangements could be made.
