Ujjain : SP MS Verma on Sunday announced a reward of Rs 10, 000 on the absconding accused in the sensational murder case of micro finance company owner, Manish Meena.
Still after a fortnight of incident, police is clueless and unable to nab a single accused in the case. Meena was shot on his temple in close vicinity of his office in the lane behind the Basawada Petrol Pump in broad day light on August 18. He was rushed to Indore after his health got critical where he succumbed to his severe injury on August 22. Madhav Nagar police had changed the section in FIR from 307 to 302 after the death of victim. Few days ago, relatives of Meena had staged protest in front of the office of Inspector General of Police to mount pressure for the arrest of absconding assailants. Now SP Verma has announced the reward on giving the information of accused to police. Police were continuously on the target of media and relatives of Meena due to the lackadaisical attitude towards the case. However, incident had taken place in broad daylight, the police have failed to find a single eyewitness in murder case.
