Ujjain : Residents are visiting Ganesha pandals set up as par to the ongoing 10-day Ganesh Utsav festival. A large number of religious functions are being held in the city to worship Lord Ganesha.

The idols of lord Ganesha are being worshiped, with many being taken for immersion in the Kshipra and other ponds of the city, specially in Marathi families. At Mahananda Nagar, the Ganpati Sangh has organised a huge Ganpati Pandal and one can witness huge crowd enjoying the festivity. The huge idol of lord Ganesha is the major attraction. Beautifully decorated idols of lord Ganesha at Nijatpura, Kanthal and Teliwada are also drawing devotees in large numbers. Ganpati pandals put up by Surya Hanuman Mitra Sangh, Abdalpura and Nanakheda Ganpati Bhakt Mandal at Nanakheda Square and Gita Group at Gita Colony are also drawing large number of devotees. Excitement of festivity can be seen at Rishi Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Sethi Nagar, Fawwara Chowk, Gopal Mandir.
