Ujjain : Divisonal Railway Manager (DRM) of Ratlam Zone, Manoj Sharma along with Simhastha Fair-2016 officer of Railways Sanjay Shukla and other senior officials briefed pressmen about their preparations of upcoming Simhastha Fair in a Press Conference here on Wednesday. DRM Sharma claimed that all the development works will be completed till February 2016.
As per the estimate of Railway officials, the Ujjain station will witness footfall of 5 lakh people during the peak days of fair. For handling such a huge rush satellite stations will be developed at Pawasa, Mohanpura and Vikramgarh. On peak days Railway will run 100 Mela Special Trains of 24 coaches each. Railway has developed resting facility for the passengers in 1700 square meter area towards Nagda end of platform 1. On being asked about the security arrangements, SP Railway Police Force, V Sudhakarn said, metal detectors will be installed at all stations, random checking will be conducted and watch towers will be constructed for strict vigil.
