Ujjain : Divisional Commissioner Dr Ravindra Pastor directed PWD to inform police department before they starting working on new development project under Simhastha head. Pastor was reviewing the development works worth Rs 600 crore recently approved by State High Power Committee, here on Thursday.
Dr Pastor asked PWD to intimate police department about the new development works like roads and squares so that they can make necessary amendments in traffic arrangements. Pastor giving example of pipe factory square located at Dewas Road said that it should be considered that contractor should not spoil the work. If necessary the work should be accomplished by working in three shifts. Pastor also directed to constitute an interdepartmental subcommittee for signage to be placed at various routes, squares and fair area. The committee will take decision for bringing uniformity in signage and to stop repetition.
Superintending engineer of Water Resources department informed that DPR of either ghats between Gaughat and Lalpul has been prepared and soon tenders will be floated. PWD superintending engineer informed that construction of Hariphatak bridge to Mahakaleshwar temple has begun. PWD has also issued tenders for seven approved works. DPR of renovation of Ujjain Development Authority and Chorasi Mahadev temple are being prepared. Ujjain Municipal Corporation has also floated 11 tenders. Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, SP MS Verma, Simhastha Fair officer Avinash Lavania and others were present at the meeting.
