Ujjain: Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (MTMC) put a ban on the entry of four Purohit representatives in temple for fifteen days. They will not be allowed to perform worship in the temple. MTMC took this hard step on the complaint of influencing devotees at Sabha Mandap.

Administrator Jayant Joshi informed that Pramtesh Vyas Purohit representative of Vinod Vyas, Vipin Sharma representative of Subhash Sharma, Dilip Sharma representative of Deepak Sharma and Lokesh Joshi representative of Ashok Joshi were restricted by MTMC. All of them were issued notices on May 6. A complaint was received against four Purohits as they influenced devotees for asking them to perform abhishek & pujan. There is a reserved place for Purohits at Sabha Mandap.
