Rich tributes were paid to the first PM Jawahar Lal Nehru on the occasion of his 49th death anniversary on Sunday. Congressmen led by

PCC President Kantilal Bhuria along with freedom fighters and children paid floral tributes and observed two- minute silence at his statue of Nehru installed at Roshanpura Crossing. Addressing the people on the occasion Bhuria highlighted the sacrifices and achievements of Nehru and said he played an important role in building an independent nation.

He started the tradition of service to the nation and Congress is carrying forward the tradition. Serving the nation to take it ahead on the road of development will be the real tribute to Nehru, concluded Bhuria.
