Governor lauds pro- public initiatives of state government

Good governance is the key to the success of democracy.
A novel initiative in this direction has been taken by Madhya Prade
sh government by implementing Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act. This is the best example of systems accountability to people. State Governor Ram Naresh Yadav said it after unfurling the Tri- colour on the occasion of 63th Republic Day here at Lal Parade Ground.
The Governor further said, ” The implementation of Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act has not only been appreciated throughout the country, but has also been adopted by several state governments. Programmes like Samadhan Online, Samadhan Ek Din, Public Welfare Camps, Parakh and Public Hearing are also proving helpful in good governance.
E- tendering and e- payment systems have also been introduced in the state. E- payment system has been introduced in several departments. Madhya Pradesh is also a pioneer state in the use of videoconferencing”. He said that entire societys participation is vital for the progress of state and country and peoples prosperity.
There is need for working with honesty, dedication and determination.
He said that small bits of efforts are also important in the quest for transformation.
Referring to remarkable efforts being made by the government in various sectors, he said, ” we should keep attached to our roots, do not forget Indian traditions and values and always remember those known and unknown martyrs due to whose sacrifices we are breathing in the pleasant atmosphere of independence now”. The Governor inspected a guard of honour by a large contingent comprising Armed Police personnel, NCC cadets and sports teams and praised the tableaux which highlighted overall development of the state. On the occasion, schoolchildren and folk singers also rendered cultural programmes laced with the spirit of patriotism.
Governor Yadav also read out his message to the people of the state.
