Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has asked government departments to provide online services to people and encourage epayment facility.

In quarterly review meeting on Friday, Chauhan took detail

of commercial tax and finance department.

He said tax collection staff should not be given other jobs. They should be given proper training and construction of check posts should be completed within time frame.

Officials gave detail of tax collection. So far, the commercial tax department generated Rs 15204 crore revenue – Rs 900 crore more than last year.

Separate training institute will be set up in the department.

Process is underway to develop e- payment module.

Chauhan said, all departments will appoint financial advisors. In clusters, finance and treasury and account department will appoint financial advisors.

Nodal officers will be appointed in each district for execution of higher education loan guarantee scheme and education counselling in each district.

The government offices having more than 250 staffers, will be given online e- bill submission facility.

Chauhan asked cooperative department officials to strengthen cooperative movement and gear up primary cooperative societies.

He said special efforts would be made for execution of Vaidyanathan committees recommendations.

During review of PHED, he said, rules would be framed for running naljal schemes in rural areas.

Drinking water sub committee will be formed in each village. Department officials said quality monitors would be appointed for naljal schemes.
