Ujjain: In the fake document case accused Prof GK Upadhaya failed to get any relief from the local court on Monday as the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) GC Sharma sent the professor to Bhairavgarh Jail till November 3. Madhav Nagar Police produced the professor before the CJM court after period of police remand got over on Monday morning from where court sent the professor to judicial custody. When president of Vikram University Teachers Association (VUTA) Anil Jain was contacted, he said, “All professors of the varsity are with Upadhaya and Association strongly condemns his arrest as he was arrested on the basis of false evidence.”
When he was asked about the strike of VUTA, he said that Association has called off the strike as entire matter is in the court and we have full faith in judiciary that justice will be done with the Prof Upadhaya.
