Policemen beaten up at toll booth

Ujjain : Two policemen were manhandled by four miscreants who created a ruckus at Ninora located toll booth of Indore-Ujjain highway here on Sunday late night. Youths came into a Bolero MUV who escaped without paying the toll tax at the toll booth. The four youth were probably drunk and exchanged abusive arguments with toll staff, tried to escape with the vehicle without paying the tax.

Seeing the escaping vehicle, on duty Nankheda police station officials, Head constable Dinesh Singh and Suresh chased the vehicle and stopped them in a short distance. Agitated youths came out of the vehicle and started beating the two policemen overpowering them. Seeing them tollbooth staff who were also following the Bolero reached the spot and rescued the police officials. The youths escaped the spot abandoning the vehicle.

Later Nanakheda police reached the spot and seized the vehicle, According to Nanakheda police 3 identification cards have been found from the MUV. Cards belong to Rahul Girgune, Amit Chauhan and Rakesh Kumar, fourth person was not identified. Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of IPC.
