Ujjain : In a breakthrough, Madhav Nagar police arrested prime accused of Dushyant Sharma murder case from Nanakheda Bus Stand area on Friday evening. Prime accused of the case, Rahul Maratha was out of the clutches of police from last five months while his other accomplices got arrested soon after the murder of Dushyant Sharma.
SP MS Verma produced Rahul Maratha before media persons at Police Control Room here on Saturday and informed that accused was also carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 on his arrest from last few months.
SP informed teams of Madhav Nagar police along and cyber cell encircled the Nanakheda Bus Stand area after getting tip that Maratha is coming to Ujjain by bus from Indore for attending marriage ceremony of his friend. When the bus arrived at the stand, cops spotted a thirty-year-old youth rushing hastily towards Bharatpuri.
When cops intercepted his way youth got terrified and informed his name as Rahul Uike. On being strictly interrogated, Maratha confessed his involvement in the murder of Dushyant Sharma and informed police that at the time of his abscondence, Ritu Guru Resident of Indore gave him place to hide in his home. Ritu Guru was also arrested by police for providing shelter to an absconding criminal.
Rahul Maratha along with Sunil Sharma, Vijay alias Angrej Akhand, Dinesh Sharma and Vishnulal had brutally murdered Dushyant Sharma on 30 August, 2015 when later had stopped their pickup vehicle having buffalos at Nagjhiri Square. Dushyant ran for shelter at the office of Home Guard’s Divisional Commandant, but all accused followed him inside the office and stabbed him to death and fled away from the scene. Police soon after the murder had arrested other five accused and confiscated two knifes used in crime and a pickup vehicle.
