Ujjain: Neelganga police have registered a FIR against organisers of bull fight under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act on Saturday.
Madhya Pradesh government has banned the bull fight in year 2008 despite knowing the fact bull fight is being organised openly at various places across the city under the nose of administration from years. Every year Neelganga, Chimanganj and Jiwajiganj police book organisers under aforesaid act and then complaint gets lost under the heap of files. Some organisers even intoxicate the bulls so that they fight more wrathfully which is also unlawful under the act.
Neelganga police following its usual ceremonial procedure have registered a case against the organisers of the bull fight which was organised at near Harifatak Over-bridge on Friday. Police have booked Shakir Pehalwaan resident of Kot Mohalla, Jeevan Chaudhary resident of Rangbawadi, Mohsin Baccha resident of Begumbag, Ganesh resident of Jaisingpura, Vimal Sen, Kamlesh Bhaat, Mukesh Yadav, Raghuveer Bhaat and Santosh resident of Gaughat and claiming to take appropriate action against the accused.
