Ujjain : Juna Akhada has ousted Pilot Baba and Radhe Maa and has stripped them of their title, told General Secretary of the Akhada, Swami Hari Giriji to Free Press on Saturday. He said, grievous charges were levelled against both of them in past years. The action was taken after a committee of Sadhus was formed to probe against them, and the committee found them culprit. Girii said we had ousted them in year 2013, immediately after the committee submitted its report.
On April 14, 2010, two pilgrims were crushed by a vehicle belonging to Pilot Baba at the Birla Ghat, in Haridwar. This led to a clash and a stampede resulting in five more deaths. Other than this Pilot Baba, former fighter pilot has been in hot topics, relating to his lifestyle and housekeeping of Akhada. Giriji said Pilot was ousted because of his not committal to the Akhada rules.
On the other hand, Radhe Maa, another self styled god woman, who was bestowed title of Maha Mandleshwar in year 2012, by the Juna Akhada was also stripped of her title by the Juna Akhada, said Hari Giriji. Charges of offering huge money for the title of Maha Mandlshwar were levelled against Radhe Maa. She now a days is facing heat of Mumbai police. Giriji said, acommittee led by Shri Mahant of Juna Akhada Uma Shankar Giri Maharaj submitted its report and she was ousted from the Akhada, thereby being stripped of her title.
Giriji said, Juna Akhada does not have any contacts or relation with either of them and they are members or rank holders of the Akhada. When asked about their role in the upcoming Simhastha, he said, Simhastha is open to all everyone is invited, but they are not, nor will be the part of Juna Akhada. He said a committee will be formed to probe into the matters of rank bestowing in the upcoming Simhastha Fair. Precautions will be practiced in the rank issue from now on, he added.
