Patwari demands bribe of Rs 50K; farmers file complaint

Ujjain :  Farmers of village Katwaria of Tarana tehsil filed a complaint against patwari Devnarayan Malviya before district Collector after he demanded bribe of Rs 50, 000 for forwarding the survey report of crops damaged by hailstorm, on Tuesday.

Farmers have not received compensation of the crops damaged by hailstorm. Patwari Devnarayan Malviya did not forward the survey report of damaged crops and now demanded bribe of Rs 50,000 for providing farmers compensation by sending the survey report.Farmersirked over the conduct of the patwari reached Kothi Palace administrative block and filed complaint against patwari before the collector.

They demanded for quick compensation to hailstorm affected farmers. Around 50 farmers of the Katwaria village handed over a memorandum before joint collector TN Singh.
