Rs 8.99 cr provided under various govt schemes
Ujjain: More than 11,000 people were provided benefits worth Rs 8.99 crore during Antyodaya Fair organised at Dussehra Maidan under the aegis of Janpad Panchayat Ujjain here on Saturday. District in- charge minister Kailash Vijayvergiya chaired the programme while MLA Shivnarayan Jagirdar and divisional commissioner A K Pandey were the chief guests. Dignitaries visited stalls established by different government departments. Collector B M Sharma informed that 11,382 beneficiaries were provided benefits of Rs 8.99 crore under different government schemes comprising Panchayat and Rural Development, Social Justice, Labour, Women and Child Development, Agriculture, Industry, Horticulture, Janpad Panchayat, Education, Health and other departments.
Aarogyam, Ahat and Bhagya Lakshmi Badhai greetings, Vatsalya Calendar and Dular Cards were released by the guests on the occasion. Divisional Public Relations Office ( PRO) organised a photo exhibition of different public welfare schemes of State government. Minister Vijayvergiya appreciated the endeavour of the PRO. The minister also inspected other exhibitions. About 870 unemployed youths, including 227 women, were registered during the Antyodaya Fair.
Twelve companies of private sectors selected 705 unemployed youths during fair. Companies that provided placements to candidates include Navbharat Fertilizers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Textiles Mills Bhawani Mandi and Cell Manufacturing Mehatwada district Dewas. District Employment Office also organised an exhibition for career guidance. More than 600 people visited the exhibition. Health department conducted a medical examination camp and provided treatment to 275 patients. State Tourism Development Corporation chairman Dr Mohan adav, SDM R S Meena and others were present on the occasion.
